Dots pull away in second half to beat Miners

POCA – Poca quarterback James Cook passed for 268 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Dots to a 45-27 win over Mingo Central Friday night at O.O. White Stadium.

The loss dropped the Miners, idle this week, to 3-2 while Poca is now 5-0.

Central quarterback Daylin Goad completed 23 of 33 passes for 268 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Receiver Drew Hatfield had eight catches for 111 yards and a score.

Running back Dougie Dillon carried 12 times for 65 yards.
