Belfry senior Emily Deaton reached a career milestone this past week when she recorded her 1,000th dig in the Lady Pirates 3-0 victory over Prestonsburg.
Deaton finished with 29 digs and three aces in the match.
The senior’s effort has earned her EKB Sports’ Player of the Week’ honor as she reached joined the 1,000 club in her team’s first match of the season.
