CLASS 4A PLAYOFFS: Golden Eagles march on

Johnson Central continued its march to a fifth straight Class 4A playoff championship game with a 50-6 victory over Harlan County in a game played at Eagle Field on Friday night.

Running back Devin Johnson finished with 131 yards and three rushing touchdowns as the Golden Eagles moved to 12-0 and stayed on a collision course to meet Boyle County at Kroger Field.

Quarterback Ryley Preece tossed a pair of touchdowns, both to Seth Dalton. Dalton had three catches for 84 yards.

Mason Lemaster recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for a touchdown and Cody Rice added a short one-yard run for another.

Johnson Central will host Wayne County (10-1) on Nov. 22. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
