Bulldogs fall in opener to Raceland

LOUISA – Class 1A power Raceland came to the Dawg House Friday night and pulled away in the second half to beat Lawrence County, 31-12.

Ram running back Hunter Lacks finished with 195 yards and three, second-half touchdowns on 16 carries to turn a slim one-point lead into a 25-6 margin early in the final quarter.

Lawrence County quarterback Noah West rushed for a pair of three-yard touchdowns in the loss. He carried 24 times for 127 yards.

Running back Ashton Blankenship added 60 yards on 18 rushing attempts.

The Bulldogs play Friday night at Magoffin County.
