Billiter’s late TD catch lifts Panthers past Dogs

PIKEVILLE – Pikeville quarterback Connor Roberts tossed a 64-yard touchdown pass to receiver Christian Billiter with less than six minutes to play to push the Panthers to a 33-27 district win over Hazard at Hillard Howard Field this past Friday night.

Billiter had opened the scoring with a 52-yard interception return in the first quarter.

Connor Roberts, Zack Roberts and Kyle Watkins all added rushing touchdowns for the Panthers.

Pikeville moved to 4-2 overall while Hazard dropped to 3-2.

The Panthers are idle this week before traveling to Phelps (4-1) on Oct. 12. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
