Billies erase early deficit, run past Panthers

MAN – Man overcame an early touchdown deficit to rally and beat Tug Valley for the first time in four years by a 30-8 score in a game played at George A. Queen Memorial Field this past Friday night.

The Hillbillies, now 5-4, were led by Zack Frye’s 51 yards rushing and one touchdown. Cameran Frye, Quentin Moody and Dylan Morris added rushing scores.

Tug Valley quarterback Tyler Chaffin passed for 74 yards and one touchdown. Blake Dingess hauled in the six-yard scoring strike.

Running back Parker Brewer had 53 yards while receive Caleb May had six catches for 67 yards.

Man will host Chapmanville Regional (5-4) and Tug Valley, now 4-5, will journey to Lincoln County (7-2) this Friday night. Kickoffs are set for 7:30 p.m.
