LANGLEY – Betsy Layne stunned Prestonsburg and Lawrence County pulled away from Floyd Central late as both teams advanced to the 58th District championship game Monday night.
The Bobcats, now 7-20, beat the Blackcats, 5-4, after falling twice in the regular season. The Bulldogs used a seven-run, sixth innings to defeat the Jaguars, 10-2.
Betsy Layne and Lawrence County will play in the championship game at 7 p.m. tonight at Floyd Central.

Lawrence County’s Jackson Feltner had four hits, including a triple and pair of doubles, to lead his team to a post-season win. He also scored three times and drove in one run. Austin Roe doubled, singled and knocked in three runs while Tyler Maynard collected three hits, scored and had a pair of RBI.
Corbin Fairchild doubled, scored and knocked in two runs as the Bulldogs improved to29-7.
Cameron Nelson had a pair of hits for the Jaguars (9-22) and batted in one run. Caleb Hager and Logan Conley each singled and scored.
Bryce Blevins was the winning pitcher. Chase Conley was tagged with the loss.

Betsy Layne managed only two hits and scored all five of their runs in the third inning to beat the Blackcats, who finished 12-13.
Chase Hamilton had one hit and drove in a pair of runs while Paul Hall had one hit, walked and added an RBI.
Owen Greene led Prestonsburg with two hits while Ben Welch had a pair of RBI.
