ALLEN – Betsy Layne pitcher Byron Tackett struck out 15 batters and threw only 69 pitches while tossing a no-hitter in the Bobcats 10-0 victory over Jenkins in the opening round of the All “A” Classic April 1.
Brady Robinson and Jordan Frazier had two hits each, scored twice and drove in two runs as the Bobcats moved to 4-4. Chase Hamilton added two hits, including a triple, and knocked in a pair of runs.

It was the school’s first true road win in 12 tries as the Jaguars improved to 4-4.
