Appalachian Wireless was forced to postpone its annual benefit golf outing this past June because of heavy rainfall.
The long wait paid off for the area’s largest cellphone device provider as perfect skies greeted Appalachian Wireless employees and golfer Friday morning at beautiful StoneCrest Golf Course.
Appalachian Wireless Marketing Director Ashley Litteral said the outing was a way of thanking its biggest customers first, but the company wanted to extend it to include a local charity.
This year’s beneficiary is Appalachian Pregnancy Care Center (APCC).
Executive Director Kay Hammond said helping mothers ranging from young to middle age take much-needed funding.
“I can’t thank Ashley and his group at Appalachian Wireless enough for us being chosen this year,” she said.
