The Pikeville High School Lady Panthers volleyball team dropped a tough opening match to Bishop Brossart, 2-0, in the opening round of the All “A” Classic State Volleyball Tournament played at Eastern Kentucky University this past weekend.
The Panthers fell 17-25 and 24-26 before bouncing back to beat Caldwell County, 2-1. Pikeville won 21-25, 25-16 and 25-22.
Pikeville dropped its final two matches to Christian Fellowship, 2-0 (20-25-23-25) and to Washington, 2-0 (13-25 and 14-25).
