PIKEVILLE – The Shelby Valley Wildcats and Sheldon Clark Cardinals scored opening round win in the 15th Region boys’ All “A” Classic played at the Eastern Kentucky Exposition Central Jan. 16.

Sheldon Clark’s Trey James had 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Cardinals to a 61-32 win over Phelps in the nightcap.
Braxton Maynard led the Cardinals, now 7-11, with a game-high 17 points and Nick Maynard added 10.
Trey Francis paced the Hornets (7-7) with 10 points. Jason Casey chipped in nine.

Shelby Valley advanced to the quarterfinals with a 78-30 victory over the Piarist School.
Kaden Robinson led the Wildcats, now 15-2, with 13 points while Logan Hawkins and Cameron Worrix followed with nine each.
Seth Hall scored a game-high 22 points for the Knights, now 0-13.
