PIKEVILLE – East Ridge’s Kyra Looney hit three clutch free throws in the final seconds to seal the Lady Warriors’ 54-49 upset win over Pikeville in the 15th Region girls’ All “A” Classic semifinals played at the Eastern Kentucky Exposition Center Monday night.
Looney finished with only seven points, but five came when East Ridge needed them the most as the Lady Warriors advanced to tonight’s championship game against Paintsville.
Kelsi Slone and Sarah Tackett finished with 11 points each as East Ridge improved to 5-13.
Jaden Edmonds paced the Lady Panthers, now 12-6 with 14 points. Grace Bartley net 12 and Kelsey Jo Tackett finished with 11.

Paintsville’s two-girl wrecking crew took apart Prestonsburg’s defense as the Lady Tigers steamrolled into the championship game with a dominating 79-57 win in the first semifinal played Monday.
Elizabeth “Swoop” Williams scorched the nets for a game-high 41 points. Williams hit 11 field goals, including six three-pointers and made good on 13-of-15 free throws.
Anna Keeton followed with 28 points on 12-of-20 shooting as the Lady Tigers moved to 15-3.
Reesce Endicott poured in 20 points to lead the Lady Blackcats, who dropped to 11-7. Caroline Ariaz added 15 and Celina Mullins tallied 11.
Tonight’s championship game will tip at 6:30 p.m. Pre-game coverage on Fox Sports East Kentucky begins at 6:15 p.m.
