Shelby Valley quarterback Dalton Meade put on a show at The Rock on Friday night in leading the Wildcats to a 41-12 victory over Martin County.
The Wildcat quarterback rushed 20 times for 174 yards and four touchdowns and passed for 98 yards and another as Valley improved to 6-2 overall and 2-1 in district matchups. He also ran in a two-point conversion and returned an interception 46 yards.
Running back Jordan Little finished with 61 yards and 12 rushing attempts and one touchdown.
Ethan Bentley’s only catch of the night was a 74-yard touchdown.
Martin County quarterback Drake Muncy had a rushing touchdown for the Cardinals, now 5-2 overall and 2-1 in district play. He also tossed a touchdown pass to Caleb Costa.
The Wildcats return home to Teco Field to face East Ridge (0-7) and Martin County visits West Carter (5-2) on Oct. 18. Both games are set to kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
