TRACK AND FIELD: Pike Central feeder schools sweep championships

The Johns Creek Bearcats and Mullins Tigers were dominate during the Pike County Track and Field Championships held this past Friday.

Coach Leigh Ann Keathley and Coach Brennan Alderman’s squads captured first-place honors for boys and girls for the third straight season.

Here is a glance at individual results:

Girls Elementary champion – Lily Thacker, she finished undefeated; Maddie Hall, third place; Natalie Isaac, sixth place; and Bella Hall, eighth place.

Boys Elementary champion – Peyton Collins; runner-up – Braxton Keathley; Noah Ratliff, 10th place; Benjamin Harvey, 11th place; Ethan Carter, 12th place; and Caleb Isaac, 14th place.

Johns Creek Junior High boys finished runner up – Bentley Keene, champion; Zaiden Coleman-Williams, fourth place; and Landon Slone, sixth place.

Johns Creek Junior High girls finished runner-up – Kaylee O’Neill, runner-up; Kenzie Slone, third place; Halle Chapman, fourth place; and Lexi O’Neill, fifth place.
