HS FOOTBALL: ‘Blue Funk’ defense shuts down Lincoln County

Man’s defense held Lincoln County to minus 10 yards rushing and 44 total for the game as the Hillbillies scored a 44-0 victory over the Panthers at George A. Queen Memorial Field on Friday night.

Running back Cameran Frye rushed for 104 yards while Zack Frye added 53 yards and one touchdown as the Hillbillies moved to 6-0. Running back Nick Plumley rushed for a pair of scores while Brock Muncy, Dylan Morris and Eric Grimmett rushed for one score each.

Quarterback Caleb Milton passed for 119 yards. Receiver Sam Milton had two catches for 42 yards and Quentin Moody added 37 yards on two receptions.

Man was scheduled to play at Tug Valley this Friday. However, the game has been moved to Nov. 1. The Hillbillies will close out the home schedule against Wyoming East on Oct. 18. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
