Shelby Valley bounced back from a disappointing road loss one week ago by dominating from start to finish in a 61-14 victory over Prestonsburg in a game played at Teco Field on Thursday night.
The Wildcats, now 5-2, amassed 546 yards offensively, including 483 on the ground. The defense limited the Blackcats (2-5) to just 34 yards.
Quarterback Dalton Meade had 220 yards and four rushing touchdowns on 13 carries, and he passed for 63 yards. Jordan Little ran for a pair of scores and finished with 96 yards on nine rushes. He hauled in three passes for 49 yards.
Mikey Mullins, Isaac Hinkle and Jayden Newsome each added a rushing touchdown.
Meade led the defensive surge as well with 11 tackles, including eight solo. Brayden Keathley followed with nine, six solo. Lance Riddle recovered a fumble.
The Wildcats will journey to The Rock on Oct. 11 for a showdown with the Martin County Cardinals (5-1). Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
