HS SOCCER ROUNDUP: Lawrence County sweeps Valley girls

Lawrence County was dominate in its matches with Shelby Valley on Saturday as the Lady Bulldogs cruised to victories of 18-0 and 11-0 at the Dawg House.

In the second match, Shelby Borders, Allyson Moore and Karissa Jude had two goals apiece while Sarah Lycans, Alyssa Moore, Citori Branham, Brylee Blair and Ellie Webb added one each.

Goalkeepers Sarah Lycans and Blair combined for the shutout win as Lawrence County moved to 10-4-0.

In the opener, Lycans had five goals and Webb followed with three goals and five assists. Alyssa Howard added three goals while Jasmine Justice and Blair finished with two each.

Saibra Moore, Alyssa Moore and Camran Diamond scored one each.

Allyson Moore and Lycans earned the shutout.

Johnson Central went on the road  and earned a hard-fought 4-0 win over Hazard in a match played at Daniel Field on Saturday.

Cleo Wells knocked in a pair of goals while Lexie Scarberry and Lakin Bentley added one apiece.

Goalkeeper Chloe Dyer recorded the shutout.
