The Floyd Central Lady Jaguars finished 3-1 on Saturday as host of the Floyd Central Invitational Tournament.
The Lady Jags, now 17-5, defeated Letcher Central (2-0), Phelps (2-0) and Pike Central (2-1) while falling to Russell (2-0).
Caley Howard and Gabrielle Howard had seven kills apiece while Jaden Hall added six and seven digs in the 25-22 and 25-20 win. Alivia Stumbo finished with eight digs while Caroline Parsons totaled 14 assists and Amelia Wallace had 10.
In the Phelps match, Hall had four kills, nine digs and two serving aces in the 25-8 and 25-10. Kiara Warrens totaled 10 digs and Allyson Stumbo had seven kills. Caley Howard had six kills, two blocks and two digs.
Wallace totaled 14 assists and Parson had eight.
In the match with Pike Central, Alivia Stumbo had three kills and 16 digs while Hall had 10 kills and eight digs in the 25-22, 22-25 and 15-8 win. Allyson Turner had nine kills and two blocks. Warrens finished with 11 digs while Wallace totaled 16 assists, five digs and two aces. Parson collected 13 assists.
Hall had five kills and nine digs in the 26-28 and 13-25 loss to Russell. Caley Howard added five kills and Warrens finished with seven digs.
For Phelps, Shakara Lester totaled three kills, seven blocks and two digs in the loss to Floyd Central. Kara Steven added two kills, five assists and seven digs.
Lester had a big match in a 2-0 loss to Pike County Central. She totaled two kills, six blocks and one dig while Kacie Dotson totaled three kills and five digs.
In the Lady Hornets, 2-0 loss to Russell, Lester finished with four kills, seven blocks and two serving aces. Madison Prater added four digs and two aces.
Pike Central split four matches, beating Letcher Central, 2-0 (25-17 and 25-21) and Phelps, 2-0 (25-13 and 25-10). The Lady Hawks fell to Russell, 2-0 (17-25 and 20-25) and to Floyd Central, 2-1 (22-25, 25-22 and 8-15).
In other weekend matches:
Pikeville defeated Jenkins 3-0 and 3-0, winning 25-7, 25-8 and 26-6; and then 25-6, 25-19 and 25-11).
