Belfry’s Ian Stallard scored an unassisted goal in the 71st minute of play to snap a tie and send the Pirates to a 4-3 win over Lawrence County in a match played at the Dawg House on Tuesday night.
The Pirates, now 5-1-1, made the most of 11 shots as Stallard finished with two goals while Blake Kulik and Cayden Long added unassisted goals.
Goalkeeper Caleb Spears had 13 saves as the Bulldogs, now 4-3-0, took 23 shots on goal.
Ryder Brown, S.J. Lycans and Trevor Brooks had one goal apiece in the loss. Goalkeeper Trenton Adkins had five saves.

Oneida Baptist’s Issac Nuquay drove home four goals and assisted on two others as the Mountaineers beat Letcher Central, 10-0, in a match played Tuesday night.
Sochi Onouha added three goals and one assist as OBI moved to 6-0-0.
The Cougars fell to 0-5-1.

Prestonsburg’s Anna Burchett continued her outstanding season with six goals to lead the Lady Blackcats to an 8-0 win over Paintsville in the 15th Region All “A” Classic played Tuesday night.
Makayla Ousley added two goals and assisted on two others as Prestonsburg improved to 7-1-0. Shelby Blackburn had one assist.
Goalkeeper Chelsea Samons recorded her seven shut-out in eight matches.

Belfry built a two-goal, halftime lead against Hazard and held on the second half to escape with a 2-1 victory in a match played at Massey Energy Soccer Complex on Tuesday night.
Kylie Gollihue scored the match’s first goal off an assist by Hannah Spence and Mylah Caudill added the only other goal on Spence’s second assist as Belfry improved to 4-3-1.
Hazard’s lone goal came on Jaden Fields’ unassisted shot.
The Lady Pirates managed 16 shots on goal. Goalkeeper Kenzie Maynard had five saves as the Lady Bulldogs (2-3-0) took just eight shots.

Johnson Central took control early on against Mountain Mission (Va.) and the Lady Eagles rolled to a 7-1 win in a match played at Eagle Field on Tuesday night.
Lauren Johnson knocked home three goals while Hayley Lykins added two. Lexie Scarberry and Madison Hicks finished with one apiece. Cleo Wells, Lakin Bentley and Johnson had one assist each.
Goalkeeper Chloe Dyer allowed just a single goal as Johnson Central moved to 6-1-2.
