The Floyd Central Lady Jaguars were a unanimous choice as the top-ranked high school volleyball team in Mountain Top Sports’ first regular-season poll released Tuesday.
Floyd Central is off to a 6-0 start and are the only unbeaten team in the region.
The Lady Jags are followed by Pike County Central at number two. The Lady Hawks are 7-1 overall.
Pike Central is followed by Paintsville in at number three. The Lady Tigers, defending 15th Region champions, are 4-1.
Pikeville claimed the number four spot this week with a 6-2 overall record. The Lady Panthers are followed by Letcher County Central (3-1) in at number five.
East Ridge, 5-2 overall, took the number six position in the poll while Martin County’s Lady Cardinals round out the poll at number seven. Martin County is 5-3.
