Defending 15th Region champion Paintsville cruised to its second straight win, beating Prestonsburg, 3-0, in the home opener Thursday night.
Hailey Little had 10 kills, three blocks and four serving aces in the 25-16, 25-16 and 25-20 match. Kara Ward finished with seven kills, two blocks, three digs and four aces while Bella Blackburn totaled 26 assists.

Alexis Daniels had nine kills while Gabrielle Howard finished with eight and two digs in the 26-8, 25-10 and 25-17 win. Allison Turner totaled seven kills and four serving aces.
Caroline Parsons had 16 assists, three digs and Amelia Wallace added 11 assists.

Pike County Central scored its third straight 3-0 win as the Lady Hawks turned back East Ridge on the Reservation.
Lexy Little totaled 22 digs for the Lady Warriors, now 1-1. Kyla Looney finished with seven kills and 16 assists in the 23-25, 20-25 and 22-25 loss. Lakin Puckett had 17 assists, 13 digs and three aces.
