ROBINSON CREEK – Shelby Valley sophomore Cassidy Rowe has reportedly suffered a second torn ACL.
Rowe, who committed last August with the University of Kentucky, was coming off rehabilitation of her torn right ACL, and has now suffered the same injury to her left leg.
She managed to only appear in five games during her freshman season and the semifinals of the 15th Region tournament.
Father and Shelby Valley head coach Doe Doe Rowe said she was, “devastated to say the least.”
She is expected to begin pre-surgery therapy today and surgery on the leg is scheduled for next week.
The injury was suffered during a summer scrimmage with her team. Last July’s injury was suffered during play with her AAU team.
