LANGLEY – Defending 15th Region champion Johnson Central erased an early deficit and the Golden Eagles went on to defeat Belfry, 7-2, in the semifinals played Memorial Day at Floyd Central.
The Golden Eagles, now 32-5, will square off against Lawrence County in the championship game set for 7 p.m. tonight.
Hunter McCloud singled in a pair of runs while Conner Lemaster added two hits, including a double, and drove in one run. Grant Davis singled, scored and added an RBI while Blake Delong doubled, walked three times and scored two runs.
Chayse Meade finished with two hits, including a triple, and scored one run. Ryley Preece doubled and scored.
Conner Lemaster worked four plus innings to earn the win.
Logan Windle singled and knocked in one run for the Pirates, who season ended at 20-10. Losing pitcher Kaleb Taylor and Adam Rahe both reached and scored.

LANGLEY – Johnson Central hurler Andrew Music scattered five hits to lead the Golden Eagles to a 6-0 victory over host Floyd Central in the opening round of the 15th Region Tournament May 25.
Grant Davis had three hits, including a double, and drove in two runs as Johnson Central improved to 31-5. Hunter McCloud singled and knocked in two runs while Ryan Sartin-Slone had a pair of singles and scored twice.
Blake Delong doubled, singled and scored while Chayse Meade, Cody Rice and Weston May added two hits apiece.
Logan Conley had three singles in a losing effort for the Jaguars, who season ended at 13-19. Chase Conley was the losing pitcher.
