Pike County Central’s D’Sean Prinkleton and Belfry’s Brett Coleman had huge offensive performances for their respective schools this past week.
Prinkleton finished with 11 hits, including four doubles and a triple, scored five runs and drove in seven while Coleman totaled 10 hits, two doubles, scored eight runs and knocked in seven.
Prinkleton edged Coleman in a tight race to garner Mountain-Top Sports’ Player of the Week honor.
Other top performers from this past week:
Johnson Central’s Matt Baldwin collected seven hits, including a pair of home runs and double and batted in seven runs.
Belfry’s Avery Browning totaled eight hits, including two doubles, and scored seven runs.
Pikeville’s Randi Delong managed eight hits, including a home run and two doubles, scored eight runs and knocked in seven.
Pike Central’s Jonathan Potter had seven hits, including a home run, scored six runs and batted in five.
Belfry’s Emily Deaton had 10 singles and scored seven runs.
Johnson Central’s Braxton Ratliff had a home run, triple and two doubles, scored six runs and knocked in four.
