HAMLIN – Lincoln County rallied with four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to beat Chapmanville Regional, 10-9, in the Class AA, Region 4, Section 2 tournament played May 9.
Chapmanville, now 17-13, pounded out 15 hits in the loss, including three each off the bats of losing pitcher Tabitha Adkins, Baylee Becher and Ashleigh Mahon. Kaitlyn Moore drove in three runs and Sierra Cook added a pair of RBIs.
The Tigers are eliminated from post-season play while the Panthers move on to regional play next week.
