Justice named new East Ridge boys basketball coach

Mountain Top Media Sports has learned that former Phelps coach and current East Ridge assistant coach Brody Justice has been named the program’s new head coach.

Justice replaces long-time coach Randy McCoy.

The ERHS graduate and former player said he was grateful for the opportunity to lead the program. He added he was happy to be back home and coaching.

The Warriors finished 12-16 this past season in McCoy’s final season. The veteran coach missed much of the year because of health conditions.

McCoy has not ruled out the possibility of returning to the sidelines again in some capacity.

With a number of key players retuning next season he says expectations for his team are set high.
