PAINTSVILLE – Johnson Central erased a two-run deficit with a three-run, fourth inning and the Golden Eagles went on to beat cross-town rival Paintsville, 9-7, in a game played April 24.
Grant Davis had two hits and drove in a pair of runs as Johnson Central improved to 22-1. Andrew Music singled in two runs while Chayse Meade added two hits and batted in one run.
Blake Delong was the winning pitcher in relief. Baron Ratliff took the loss as the Tigers dropped to 14-9.
Paintsville’s Gunner Collins belted a home run, singled and knocked home four runs while Jake Hyden collected three hits, including a double, and drove in one run.
