CORDIA – Prestonsburg ran its winning streak to five straight games with a doubleheader sweep of Cordia in games played April 13.
The Lady Blackcats, now 11-8, rolled to 14-0 and 12-0 victories in games called as the result of the mercy rule after four innings.
In the opener, Katelyn Bingham tossed a no-hitter, striking out six while Megan Music followed with a no-hitter in the nightcap.
Offensively, Music had two hits, scored twice and knocked in two runs while Brooklyn Thacker and Emily Salisbury added one hit and batted in two runs each while scoring in game one.
Alison Campbell singled and scored four runs and Bingham doubled, scored and drove home two runs.
Music doubled, scored and batted in a pair of runs in game two. Bingham also doubled, scored three times and knocked in two. Campbell had two hits, scored three and added an RBI.

Haleigh Jefferson was the winning pitcher in relief as the Lady Blackcats improved to 9-8.
Jada Slone had two hits, including a double, drove in two runs and scored twice while Emily Salisbury doubled, scored and knocked in a pair of runs. Jefferson helped her own cause with two hits, and she batted in two runs.
Seventh-grader Riley Fleming took the hard-luck loss in both games for the Lady Cavaliers, now 3-9. She also had five hits in the twinbill, including a triple and double, and knocked in three runs.
In the opener, Katelyn Bingham earned the win when the Lady Blackcats scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Alison Campbell, Slone and Salisbury each had two hits and scored one run each while Megan Music doubled in one run and Haley Ratliff finished with an RBI.
