PIKEVILLE – Paintsville High School’s Seth Williams has been swinging a hot bat for the Tigers.
This past week he had seven hits, including four home runs, scored seven runs and drove in eight to earn EKB Sports’ Player of the Week honor. He now has six dingers on the season, hitting .424 through 10 games played and has drove in 24 points.
He beat out Johnson Central’s Hunter McCloud, who had another big week at the plate, collecting nine hits, including a pair of doubles, scored seven runs and batted in seven.
Belfry’s Kaelyn Stafford came up with a solid showing for the Lady Pirates. She had nine hits, including a home run and double, scored seven runs and knocked home eight.
Pikeville’s Randi Delong finished the week with eight hits, including a triple and two doubles while scoring five times and driving in nine runs. Teammate Ginna Jones added nine hits, including three doubles, scored nine times and batted in four runs.

Sheldon Clark’s Paige Maynard finished with eight hits, including a triple and three doubles. She scored six runs and drove in six.
Phelps’ Danielle Prater collected 10 hits, one a double, scored seven runs and knocked in a pair.
Sheldon Clark’s Jon Jon Fitch belted a home run, doubled twice, singled, scored four times and batted in eight runs.
Pikeville’s Kendall Hall had eight hits – a triple, three doubles and four singles while scoring six runs and adding a pair of RBIs. Teammate Olivia Whitfield had nine hits, including a triple and two doubles, scored seven runs and drove in three.
