BUCKLEYS CREEK – Belfry’s Avery Browning had a pair of hits, including a double, scored once and drove in three runs to lead the Pirates to a 12-4 victory over Pike Central at the Hawks Nest April 3.
Sean Cochran had three hits, one a double, batted in two runs and scored as the Pirates improved to 8-2. Winning pitcher Kaleb Taylor added two hits, scored twice and added an RBI.
Preston Kirk had an RBI double for the Hawks, who dropped to 1-7. D’Sean Prinkleton took the loss.

The Pirates, now 7-2, used a five-run, bottom of the second to pull away and make a winner of Adam Rahe. Dakota Vance took the loss for the Panthers, who dropped to 1-9.
Brett Coleman had a pair of singles, walked once, scored three times and drove in one run while Austin Fields added an RBI single and Austin Rahe walked, forcing home another run. Avery Browning tripled, walked and scored.
Justin Hall had two singles and drove in two of the Panthers’ four runs. Alex Vance and Ethan Varney each singled, walked and scored once.
