ROBINSON CREEK – Pikeville and Shelby Valley combined for 31 runs, 24 hits and 12 fielding errors in a wild 15th Region All “A” Classic matchup which saw the Panthers survive, 17-14, in a game played April 4.
The Panthers, now 3-5, advance to face Sheldon Clark in the championship tonight at Paintsville. The Wildcats dropped to 4-5.
Jackson Hensley had two hits, including a triple, walked four times, scored four runs and drove in one while Nate Brown added a pair of singles, scored five times and batted in two runs. Lucas Justice singled, walked three times and knocked in two runs in the win.
Valley’s Gabriel Brown blasted a three-run homer, singled and scored a pair of runs. Samuel Brown doubles twice and scored both times while knocking in four runs. Hunter Mullins singled twice, scored three times and batted in two runs.

INEZ – Sheldon Clark overcame a five-run, first inning deficit to slip past Paintsville, 6-5, in the 15th Region All “A” Classic semifinals played April 4.
Dawson Jude collected two hits and drove in two runs while Will Lafferty knocked home three runs as the Cardinals, now 4-4, advance to face Pikeville tonight in the championship game at Paintsville.
Baron Ratliff had three hits and knocked in three runs for the Tigers, who fell to 7-4. Braxton Ratliff added one hit.
Jonathan Fitch was the winning pitcher while Gunner Preston took the loss.
