PHELPS – Pikeville pounded out 16 hits, including seven for extra bases, as the Lady Panthers rolled to a 19-0 victory over Phelps in the 15th Region All “A” Classic opener played April 1.
Hannah Akers allowed just two hits over three innings to earn the win as Pikeville improved to 6-4.
Ginna Jones had three hits, including a double, scored twice and drove in three runs while Bailey Joe Stiltner had a pair of doubles, scored three runs and batted in another.
Olivia Whitfield tripled, singled, knocked in one run and scored three times. Randi Delong added two hits, including a doubled. She scored twice and knocked in a pair of runs. Emily Adkins doubled in two runs and scored.
Madson Norman took the loss for the Lady Hornets, now 2-3.
