PIKEVILLE – Pikeville continued its early-season success as the Lady Panthers swept a doubleheader from Rowan County, winning 6-5 and 10-6 in games played at Myers Field March 23.
In the nightcap, Emily Adkins belted a home run, doubled, scored twice and drove in five runs as Pikeville improved to 4-0. Olivia Hall added two hits, including a triple, scored and batted in one run while Emily Ford doubled twice, scored and added an RBI. Kelcie Adams had two singles, scored twice and knocked in one run.
Hannah Akers was the winning pitcher.
In the opener, Kendall Hall had three hits, including a double, scored twice and drove in three runs. Bailey Joe Stiltner doubled in two runs while Adkins tripled, singled and scored.
