SWEET 16: Final Four set for Rupp tonight

LEXINGTON – The boys’ Sweet 16 is down to the semifinals tonight at Rupp Arena.

In quarterfinal round action Friday, Campbell County knocked off Walton-Verona, 49-42; Trinity rolled over Ashland Blazer, 60-30; Scott County run past Butler, 66-45; and Warren Central come from behind to defeat Madisonville-North Hopkins, 66-62.

Tonight’s first game has Campbell County going up against Louisville Trinity at 7:30 p.m., with Scott County and Warren Central set for 9 p.m.

The championship game is set for 2 p.m. Sunday,

Campbell County landed three players in double figures as Reid Jolly led the way for the Camels with 13 points and 12 rebounds to finish with a double-double. Tanner Lawrence finished with 12 and Drew Wilson added 10.
