PIKEVILLE – Pikeville, the two-time defending 15th Region Tournament champion, is back in the semifinals following an impressive 81-42 victory over Pike County Central Feb. 26.
Pikeville, now 22-8, will face Paintsville this coming Friday night.
The Panthers “rained” down three-point shots on the Hawks (18-14), hitting 12 total, including eight from Rylee Sammons, who finished with a game-high 28 points.
Connor Roberts finished with 16 points and Kyle Watkins tossed in 11.
Brady Adkins led the Hawks with 14 points while Keegan Bentley finished with 12. DaSean Penn had six points and 15 rebounds, including 12 defensive boards. He blocked four shots.
