HINDMAN – The Letcher Central Lady Cougars punched their ticket to the 53rd District Tournament championship game with a 68-24 victory over June Buchanan in a game played at Knott County Central High School Feb. 19.
Brooklynn Collins paced Central, now 17-9, with a game-high 17 points. Jessica Boggs tossed in eight while Emma Maggard and Brooke Bates chipped in seven apiece.
The Lady Cougars will face host Knott County Central in the championship game on Feb. 21. Both teams, regardless of the outcome, will move on to the 14th Region Tournament next week.
