Shelby Valley held on to the number one position in the latest EKB Sports’ Super boys’ high school basketball poll released Sunday afternoon.
The Wildcats, now 25-4 overall, just held off No. 2 Chapmanville Regional, now 16-2. The Tigers are following by county-rival Logan. The Wildcats are 17-3, with two of those losses having come to CRHS in the past week.
The Pikeville Panthers, now 16-8, are fourth, followed by Lawrence County (20-7) in fifth.
Rounding out the poll are number six Paintsville (16-5) and number seven Letcher Central (17-9) and Johnson Central (20-6).
