CHAPMANVILLE – Defending champion Chapmanville Regional made quick work of Poca as the Tigers scored a 76-51 win over the Dots at Danny Godby Gymnasium Jan. 10.
Obinna Anochili-Killen had a big night as the Tigers improved to 10-1. He finished with 24 points, 11 rebounds and seven blocks.
Three other Tigers finished in double-figure scoring as Brandon Elkins tallied 15 while Devin Collins tossed in 12 and Andrew Shell totaled 11.
Chapmanville has not lost to a West Virginia school the past two seasons.

ROBINSON CREEK – Shelby Valley used a big second quarter to pull away and roll to a 77-34 win over East Ridge in a game played at the Shelby Valley Sports Center Jan. 10.
Cody Potter finished with 22 points and seven rebounds as the Wildcats improved to 14-1. Cameron Worrix added 15 and Keian Worrix chipped in eight.
Eli Sykes paced the Warriors, now 5-9, with nine points. Dalton Wellman added seven.

Justin Barker led the Pirates (3-11) with 15 points. Ty May chipped in nine.

Jordan Frazier finished with 13 points for the Bobcats, now 7-8. Brady Robinson tallied 12 while Nate Mims scored nine and Chase Mims chipped in eight.
