Chapmanville Regional, now 7-1, held onto the top spot this week in the latest EBK Sports’ Super 7 boys’ high school basketball poll released Sunday afternoon.
But the Tigers have company as Paintsville, now 10-2, shared the number one position following their impressive road win at Johnson Central this past Friday night.
It’s a log jam at the top as Shelby Valley (12-1) just missed out on a three-way tie as the Wildcats land at number three.
Logan, with a record of 6-1, is fourth. The Wildcats have not played since beating Pikeville in the Mountain Schoolboy Classic.
Lawrence County (11-4) earns the fifth position this week, followed by Johnson Central at number six. The Golden Eagles are 10-2.
Pike County Central (10-6) is seventh.
Letcher Central (8-6), Magoffin County (8-6) and Pikeville (7-5) received votes.
