Meet Belfry assistant coach Todd Cassell

Coach Todd Cassell

Now in his 29th year at Belfry High School.

Has been part of Belfry’s state championship teams (2003, 04 in Class 2A)

(2013, 14, 15, 16 in Class 3A)

Graduated from Morehead State University in 1990.

What is your coaching philosophy? “We try and stress to our players how important it is to play hard, be physical on the field and good things will happen. It’s something that our coaches and players believe in and that’s why we have been able to succeed year in and year out.”

Favorite food? “Mexican without a doubt.”

Favorite music? “I’m a big fan of country music more than any other.”

Favorite band or performer? “Hank Williams Jr.”

Who is your hero? “I can’t pick just one…..Nick Saban (Alabama head football coach) and Bill Belichick (New England Patriots head coach) are two guys I have  so much respect for and how they motivate their players.”
