GOODY – Belfry took control early on against Pike County Central and breezed to a 47-6 win over the Hawks at CAM Stadium this past Friday night.
The Pirates moved to 8-1 on the season with Central dropped to 3-6.
Reserve running Kyle Webb led the Belfry ground game with 115 yards and one touchdown. Quarterback Avery Browning had 61 yards and a score while Issac Dixon added 46 yards and one touchdown.
Both teams close out the regular season this Friday night when the Hawks host Ridgeview, Va. (7-1) and the Pirates journey to Paintsville for a showdown with Johnson Central (8-1). Both games are set for 7:30 p.m.
