PHELPS – Pikeville running back Zack Roberts rushed for 140 yards and a pair of touchdowns to help lead the Panthers to a 47-0 win over Phelps in a district matchup played at Marty Casey Stadium this past Friday night.
Quarterback Connor Roberts added a rushing touchdown and tossed a 25-yard TD pass to Jackson Hensley as the Panthers improved to 5-2.
Kyle Watkins and Jesse Sparks each rushed for a score and Christian Billiter returned an interception 52 yards for another.
Pikeville will play Friday night at Grundy, Va. (5-2) while Phelps, now 4-3, journeys to Jenkins (0-8). Both games are set for 7:30 p.m.
