VOLLEYBALL: Pikeville beats East Ridge; Paintsville tops FC

Pikeville rolled to a 3-0 win over East Ridge in a match played at T.W. Oliver Memorial Gymnasium Tuesday night.

East Ridge’s Hannah King had 10 kills and Sarah Tackett added eight in the 25-18, 25-1 and 25-17 match loss. Kesli Slone added 17 digs and Haley Parks finished with 14.

Haylee Meade totaled 22 assists.

Paintsville standout Megan Taylor powered the Lady Tigers to a 3-1 win over Floyd Central in a home match.

Taylor had 35 kills, 10 digs and six blocks in the 19-25, 25-10, 25-16 and 26-24 win.

Anna James collected 12 digs and Lindsey Nelson totaled 42 assists.

East Ridge went on the road and blanked RiverView in a match played at Bradshaw Monday night.

Hannah King finished with nine kills and six serving aces in the 25-15, 25-16 and 25-10 win.

Sarah Tackett had nine kills while Kelsi Slone finished with eight digs. Haylee Meade totaled 23 assists.
