Belfry scored three second-half goals to pull away and beat Paintsville, 4-2, in a match played at Massey Energy Soccer Complex on Tuesday.
Dennis Freeman scored a pair of goals while Ian Stallard and Christian Long added one each to push the Pirates up 4-0.
Ethan Mills and Seth Trador scored one goal each for Paintsville.
Belfry, 4-4-1, took 15 shots on goal. Paintsville goalkeeper Sam Smith had 10 saves.
The Tigers, now 4-6-0, managed 13 shots. Belfry’s Colby Mullins had seven saves.
Matt Burchett scored one goal and assisted on two others as Prestonsburg battled to a 3-3 tie with Lawrence County at StoneCrest Soccer Complex.
Isaiah Collins and Grant Justice added one goal each as the Blackcats are now 10-0-3.
Tyler Maynard had a pair of goals for the Bulldogs. Luke Johnson added one. LC is now 9-2-1.
Perry Central cruised to an 8-2 win over Letcher Central.
In girls’ action, Belfry goalkeeper Kenzie Maynard recorded the shutout as the Lady Pirates blanked Paintsville, 3-0.
The Lady Pirates, now 8-5-0, took 42 shots on goal. Kylie Gollihue scored two goals and the third came when the ball bounced off a Paintsville player.
Paintsville, which dropped to 2-6-1, got 19 saves from Hope Auxier.
Lauren Johnson knocked home a pair of goals to lead Johnson Central to a 2-1 win over Prestonsburg at StoneCrest Soccer Complex.
Makayla Ousley had the lone Prestonsburg goal off an assist by Elizabeth Burchett.
The Lady Eagles improved to 12-0-1 while the Lady Blackcats fell to 9-5-0.
Lawrence County’s Zayla Granillo and Kylie Maynard had two goals apiece and each had an assist in a 41 victory over Cabell-Midland at the Dawg House.
The Lady Bulldogs improved to 12-1-0.
Shelby Valley’s Abby Branham had a pair of goals as the Lady Cats defeated Pikeville in double overtime at Bob Amos Soccer Complex.
Hannah Adams had an assist and goalkeeper Angel Newsome was solid between the pipes as Valley moved to 4-7-2.
Sydney Williams scored the lone goal for the Lady Panthers, now 0-8-0.
