MIDWAY, Ky. – The cold streak continues on Saturday for UPIKE women’s soccer when it lost to Midway, 5-0.
It was another tough day at the office for UPIKE as Midway dominated the game in nearly all aspects of the match. The Eagles outshot the Bears in totality 15-1 and in shots on goal 9-1. Kate Auvil was the only Bear to take a shot in the match.
Midway’s Regan Snyder put the Eagles ahead in the fifth minute on the first shot of the game, and UPIKE couldn’t recover. She later scored her second goal of the game on a PK. Marissa Saur and Jordyn D’Oench also scored to give Midway a 4-0 halftime lead. Shelbie Williams scored shortly after the second half kickoff to finish the scoring.

Women’s soccer will have a few days off before playing in the latter half of a men’s/women’s doubleheader with Warren Wilson College at home. Kickoff for the women’s game is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Bob Amos Complex.
