PIKEVILLE – After scoring five goals in two matches over the weekend, Eric Bernabue is bringing home some conference accolades. The junior won Mid-South Conference Offensive Player of the Week after helping guide the Bears to its first .500 record since early in the 2016 season.
Bernabue scored his second career hat trick in a 5-2 win against Berea and provided all the scoring in UPIKE’s 2-1 win against Point Park on Sunday.
This is the first time Bernabue has earned a weekly conference honor and the first time a UPIKE player has taken home a weekly award since Anibal Navarro won Defensive Player of the Week in 2016.
