Hawks fly past Rebels for homecoming win

BUCKLEYS CREEK – Pike Central quarterback Tyler Hunt tossed three touchdown passes and the Hawks’ defense shut down Hurley in a 45-6 win on homecoming night this past Friday.

Hunt tossed a 32-yard scoring strike to Noah Iricks, followed by a 22-yard catch and run for a score by Jacob Young, and then hit Austin Morrow in the flats for a 37-yard touchdown pass to cap the scoring.

Josh Ferguson returned a punt 69 yards for the game’s first score. Isaiah Hess scored on a two-yard run and Issac Thacker ran 20 yards for another.

Pike Central will travel to Letcher Central Friday night.
