PIKEVILLE – Pikeville quarterback Connor Roberts ran for a pair of touchdowns and passed for four others to fuel the Panthers’ 50-7 rout of Lexington Christian in the finale of the 34th annual Pike County Bowl played at Hillard Howard Field Saturday night.
Roberts had TD passes of 15, 32, 53 and 55, all to Jackson Hensley. Hensley hauled in five passes for 145 yards.
Backup QB Isaac McNamee added a 54-yard touchdown pass to Christian Billiter. McNamee was 3-of-4 passing for 56 yards.
Roberts’ TD runs covered 48 and nine yards. He completed 5-of-8 passes for 145 yards and rushed 11 times for 116 yards.
Pikeville is off this Friday before hosting Paintsville (2-0) Sept. 7.
