Letcher Central’s Zack Dollarhyde scored four goals and Dylan Bentley added another as the Cougars went on the road to Jackson City and earned a 5-3 win Saturday.
The Cougars improved to 2-0-0 this season. LCC opened with a 3-0 shutout of Harlan County at Cougar Field on Aug. 16.
Bobby Sexton, Bentley and Dollarhyde all scored goals.
Russell’s Nolan Sabotchick scored three goals and goalkeeper Joe Ewing limited Johnson Central to just one as the Red Devils (3-0) earned a 3-1 victory at Eagle Field Saturday.
Johnson Central’s lone goal came on the foot of Jade Headley. The Golden Eagles fell to 1-2-0.
Oneida Baptist Intstitute’s Issac Nuquay scored four goals and Obed Mcpherson added three and assisted on five in an 11-1 win over host Shelby Valley at Teco Field Saturday.
The Wildcats dropped to 0-2-0.

GIRLS
Shelby Valley’s Hannah Adams knocked in a pair of goals and assisted on two others to lead the Lady Cats to a 5-2 win over Oneida Baptist Institute in a match played at Teco Field Saturday.
Abby Branham added two goals and Kaitlyn Adkins scored one.
Goalkeepers Angel Newsome and Beth Werner allowed a single goal each.
Valley is now 1-1-0.
Ashland Blazer scored six second half goals to snap a 2-2 tie and beat Belfry, 8-2, in a match played at home Saturday.
The Lady Tomcats took 36 shots on goal while Belfry managed just nine. Belfry’s Kenzie Maynard had 19 saves as the Lady Pirates fell to 0-2-0.
Robbi-Ann Brewer scored both goals in the opening half.
