EKB Sports has just confirmed that Shelby Valley standout Cassidy Rowe has committed to play at the University of Kentucky.
She chose UK over four other Division I offers. Others include Murray State, Northern Kentucky, University of Denver and Morehead State.
Rowe, who helped lead the Lady Cats (29-5) to the All “A” Classic championship game one year ago, will miss much, if not all of the upcoming season, as she recovers from a torn ACL.
She averaged 9.9 points per game as an eighth grader.
Rowe is among the top returning players across Kentucky and is already being mentioned as a “Miss Kentucky” candidate.
